About the Show
Set in an alternate-reality version of the modern-day Brooklyn art scene, Vincent reimagines Vincent van Gogh as a volatile, contemporary artist clawing for connection in a world that refuses to see her.
Driven by a score that fuses emo, pop-punk, and progressive rock into something raw and unrelenting, Vincent plunges headfirst into obsession, isolation, and the brutal need to matter. When Vincent convinces Paul Gauguin to move in and build an artist collective together, what begins as a desperate bid for collaboration quickly combusts into something far more dangerous.
As their relationship fractures, Vincent’s inner world begins to manifest outwardly. Her anxiety, rage, and self-doubt taking physical form as The Shadow, an ever-present force tightening its grip. What follows is a downward spiral where art and identity blur, creation becomes confrontation, and the cost of being seen may be everything.
Vincent isn’t about history. It’s about what happens when the need to be understood turns into something uncontrollable and what’s left when it all burns out.
